Running every day can harm your knees if you:

  • Run on hard surfaces only
  • Wear worn-out shoes
  • Have poor form
  • Don’t rest or stretch

Safer approach:

  • Run 3–4 times a week
  • Use good running shoes
  • Mix with walking or cycling
  • Stretch your legs after running

Running itself is not bad — running without recovery is what causes knee pain.
